HOW CAN I GET TO PANTELLERIA?
Pantelleria is easily accessible both by air and by sea. In low season, the air connection is guaranteed by two daily flights departing from the Sicilian airports of Palermo and Trapani (DAT). In mid and high season, direct flights are added from Rome and Catania and from the main cities of northern Italy (Milan, Turin, Genoa, Bergamo, Venice, Verona, Bologna). Airlines flying to Pantelleria are: Alitalia, Volotea, Blu Express and DAT.

Wanting to travel by sea, the Siremar ferry sails daily from the port of Trapani. In the summer months, you can also choose to travel by hydrofoil (Liberty Lines).

IS TENUTA BORGIA A HOTEL?
Tenuta Borgia is not a hotel! You will not find reception, areas shared with other guests and not even the classic hotel services (breakfast, room service, etc.). All our dammusi are rented on a self-catering basis with the aim of offering our guests the maximum degree of freedom and privacy.

IS BREAKFAST INCLUDED?
We do not provide hotel or restaurant services. Each dammuso has a fully equipped kitchen or kitchenette where it is possible to prepare meals. Grocery stores and a small selection of restaurants are few kilometers away are. On request it is possible to book the delivery of groceries or a home cook.

WHAT OTHER SERVICES ARE INCLUDED?
Published rates include a midweek change of towels and a full linen change every 7 days. However, it is possible to request additional paid services (extra cleaning, laundry service, shopping delivery, etc.)

IS THE BIG SWIMMING POOL IN COMMON?
All our dammusi are rented on a self-catering basis with the aim of offering our guests the maximum degree of freedom and privacy. For this reason, with the sole exception of the Arabian Garden, there are no commonal areas and the swimming pool is reserved for guests staying at Dammuso Grande. The larger dammusi like Palmeto and Limoni, have a private plunge pool, while the dammusi for two guests do not have a pool. Unless you opt for a conventional hotel or resort with shared facilities, we doubt you will find a two-person dammuso with a private pool on the island. In our opinion, Pantelleria has a lot to offer in terms of beautiful sea spots, the lake and the thermal waters that you will hardly miss a swimming pool.

ARE THE DAMMUSI EQUIPPED WITH AIR CONDITIONING?
The dammusi of Tenuta Borgia have been restored in a conservative way, which does not include the AC system. The dry stone walls of the buildings are very thick and generate excellent insulation, which allows you to maintain a natural coolness in the interior. It must also be considered that Pantelleria is a rather windy island (known as the “daughter of the winds”) and therefore, even if it can be very hot in the summer months, the perceived temperature does not reach the thresholds of other parts of Sicily (not to mention the large cities of southern Europe). Above each bed are installed paddle fans and, apart from exceptional days, our guests find that they are a sufficient aid to face the summer heat.

CAN I COUNT ON WI-FI?
If you are not ready for digital detox yet, then you can access our WI-FI using the credentials provided. Don’t expect high-speed performance and please don’t indulge in long streaming sessions.

HOW FAR DAMMUSI OF TENUTA BORGIA ARE FROM THE SEA?
All our dammusi have a very open sea view. However, the stretch of south-western coast in which we find ourselves (the one facing the sunset) is a high and rocky stretch of coast. Consequently, even if it is perfectly possible to walk down the 2.5km to reach the closest access to the sea of Nikà, it must be considered that the uphill return road can be tiring. We point out that, with rare exceptions, the dammusi near the coast have been built in recent times for the exclusive use of vacationers, while the dammusi found in the countryside are the most authentic ones.

IS IT A SUITABLE PLACE FOR CHILDREN?
Tackling Pantelleria with small children requires a high degree of sportsmanship. As for the dammusi of Tenuta Borgia, it must be emphasized that the bedrooms are never contiguous and all have direct access from the garden. This fact could be a bit of an issue for families travelling with small children. In some cases, where possible, we can install a cot next to the master bedrooms. We point out that the swimming pools have no barriers or alarm systems.

DO YOU ACCEPT DOGS?
Tenuta Borgia is pet-friendly. We gladly welcome our guests traveling with small and medim pets. Guest is responsible for cleaning up after the pet on hotel grounds and properly disposing of the waste in the outside dumpster.

HOW LONG IN ADVANCE CAN I BOOK?
In order to meet the different needs of returning guests and new customers, we have adopted a reservations policy allowing to book as early as one year in advance. However, wishing to offer priority booking to the returning guests, requests from new customers for a stay in the high and peak seasons will be kept on a waiting list until the middle of October of each year. After this date, if the requested period is still available, it will be possible to proceed with the payment of the deposit and the confirmation of the reservation.

WHAT ARE THE CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT TIMES?
The check-in time is after 16:00 and the check-out time is by 10:30.

HOW EVER SO MANY PRICE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN ONE DAMMUSO AND THE OTHER?
The chosen period has considerable importance on the price. Furthermore, the dammusi differ greatly from each other in terms of size and services.

DO YOU REQUIRE A MINIMUM PERIOD OF STAY?
A minimum stay of 3 nights is required. In high and peak season, one-week stays are preferred, arriving on Saturday or Sunday.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
We do not apply penalty for cancellation made at least 40 days before agreed arrival date.

A penalty of 50% of the rental fee will be applied to cancellations made after the 40th and before the 21st day prior to agreed arrival day.

A penalty equal to 100% of the rental fee will be applied to cancellations received after the 21st day or in case of no-show, late arrival or early termination of the lease.

IS A SECURITY DEPOSIT REQUIRED?
Guest will have to pay upon arrival a security deposit of EUR 300,00 (€ 500 for the Grande dammuso) in cash, cheque or Paypal directly to the Owner. The security deposit will be returned at the end of the rental period after verification that there are no damages or missing items.

CAN ONE BOOK A RENTAL CAR OR A SCOOTER WITH YOU?
Pantelleria is a relatively large island and a mean of transportation is strictly necessary to reach the main natural sights, as well as shops and restaurants. Upon confirmation of your booking, we will send you an offer from our partner car rental company on available vehicles. If you wish to proceed, you will receive a voucher to show at the agency counter at the airport or at their office near the port, without having to send a new deposit. Please note that in August it can be very difficult to find a car to rent without previous booking.

WHY DOES TENUTA BORGIA NOT APPEAR ON GOOGLE MAP?
It was our choice not to appear on Google Map in order to ensure the maximum privacy of our guests. For this reason, we kindly ask guests to follow the driving instructions they will receive a few days before their arrival.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO VISIT THE ESTATE?
We are sorry, but to ensure the privacy of our guests visits to the estate are not allowed during the operating months.
